Scrutiny:
Li, 2002, Subfamilies and tribes proposed by Li Fasheng, 2002a (Chinese genera mentioned in parentheses): Amphigerontiinae (p. 1341): Stylatopsocini (p. 1341, Stylatopsocus), Amphigerontiini (p. 1343, Amphigerontia, Metagerontia), Blastini (p. 1351, Epiblaste, Chilopsocus, Neoblaste, Pentablaste, Disopsocus, Blaste); Psocinae (p. 1396): Oreopsocini (p. 1398, Hybopsocus, Oreopsocus, Lativalvae, Cephalopsocus, Sciadionopsocus, Symbiopsocus), Ptyctini (p. 1416, Mecampsis, Clematostigma, Ptycta, Hyalopsocus, Pseudoptycta), Psocini (p. 1440, Psocidus, Psocus, Sacopsocus, Psocomesites, Cryptopsocus), Trichadenotecnini (p. 1460, Trichadenotecnum, Trichadenopsocus, Conothoracalis, Loensia); Cerastipsocinae (p. 1550): Metylophorini (p. 1550, Metylophorus, Pseudoclematus, Longivalvus, Cyclotus), Cerastopsocini (p. 1593, Pogonopsocus, Ceratostigma, Clematoscenea, Psococerastis, Lubricus, Propsococerastis); Sigmatoneurinae (p. 1691, Sigmatoneura).
Li, 2002, REMARK: Only two subfamilies (Amphigerontiinae and Psocinae) are recognized in the following, according to the widely accepted classification used by Lienhard & Smithers (2002), the definition of Amphigerontiinae being the same as in Li Fasheng (2002a). [NOTE: The third subfamily (Thyrsophorinae) recognized by Lienhard & Smithers is limited to the Neotropics and is not mentioned in Li's classification]. Genera are here not assigned to the tribes recognized by Lienhard & Smithers (2002), which do not correspond to the tribes defined by Li Fasheng (2002a). Therefore, in the following, genera are arranged alphabetically within each subfamily. It will be the task of future revisers to assign Li's genera to the tribes of the classification used by Lienhard & Smithers (2002).
